Biography of Fr. Gerald L. Seiler: I was born in 1962 at Mercy Hospital in New Orleans. I was baptized at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church in Metairie and attended school there through second grade. We lived in Kenner (not far from City Hall) until 1970, when we moved to Metairie. We then became parishioners of St. Angela Merici Parish. I attended school there through 7th grade. I graduated from St. John Prep in 1980; from St. Joseph Seminary College with a B.A. in philosophy in 1984; from Notre Dame Seminary with a Masters in Divinity in 1990. As a seminarian, I worked in the following parishes: St. Benedict in Covington, St. Joseph the Worker in Marrero, St. Monica in New Orleans and St. Peter in Reserve. I was ordained a priest by Archbishop Schulte at St. Louis Cathedral in 1990. In 1996, I graduated from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. with a J.C.L.
